Job Description

A client of ours in the environmental services industry is looking to add a GIS Technician to their team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performs quality control checks of GIS data to ensure data integrity.

• Works closely with field level personnel to perform GIS data updates and appropriate quality control.

• Builds basic static and web-based maps.

• Assists in consultation sessions with internal customers to determine GIS needs and requirements.

• Works independently as well as within a project team to execute and deliver GIS projects of moderate scope and complexity.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and establish rapport with a diverse array of people.

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, or closely related subject.

• 4+ years of professional experience with a ArcGIS pro and ESRI

• Ability to write, modify, and read SQL Queries.

• Experience with Python scripting with ESRI APIs

• Professional experience using Snowflake.

• Ability to create and present basic presentations to peers and internal customers.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in order to meet individual goals and deadlines.

• Ability to work as part of a team and display a positive attitude for this dynamic environment.

• Solid report writing and ability to perform detail-oriented work.

• Ability to assist with complex projects within interdisciplinary teams.
