Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable IT Systems Administrator to support the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) in Stafford, VA. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in enabling the development and integration of cutting-edge warfighting concepts, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) that will shape the future of Marine Corps operations. As a member of our team, you will work closely with a talented group of professionals to provide technical support in a fast-paced, developmental environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, rapid remediation in the event of failures, and providing expert technical support to a wide range of stakeholders. This will require a high degree of flexibility, versatility, and multi-skilled expertise, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond to emerging needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong technical skills, including hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting, are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required, as you will be interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Responsibilities include:
+ Provide information system test, modification, installation, implementation, security, and documentation to meet the evolving system requirements and reporting needs of programs and management
+ Configure, operate and maintain physical and virtual Microsoft and Linux servers
+ Install updates and patches to operating systems and command applications for the physical servers and workstations
+ Troubleshoot advanced server, workstation, and software incidents.
+ Perform routine Active Directory, account creation and maintenance tasks.
+ Manage backup software including disk or tape utilization, backup schedules and restore operations.
+ Create, test and modify Active Directory Group Policies
+ Respond to incidents elevated from the Enterprise Desktop Support and Information Assurance Management section related to network matters/security incidents and resolve the incidents as directed
+ Maintain enterprise services such as DNS, DHCP and NTP.
+ Apply Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to operating systems and applications
+ Maintain and update on-premises virtual platform such as VMware vSphere
+ Maintain and update Hybrid cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
+ Develop and submit certification and accreditation documentation and assist and/or lead the Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) program
+ Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) configuration and operations management
This position is located in Stafford, VA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Stafford or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of enterprise IT support experience
CompTIA Security certification or similar DoD IAT Level II recognized certification
At least one Operating System Certification such as Microsoft Server Hybrid AZ-800, AZ-801, Azure administrator associate AZ-104, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Linux certifications
Experience with installations in classified environments
Knowledge of DoD STIGs
Extensive installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual Windows servers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in developing technical solutions
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Associate or Bachelor s degree in a technical discipline
Prior Military or DoD experience
Advanced Operating System certifications in Microsoft, Linux, or vSphere
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
