    Papillion Sanitation, a Waste Connections company, has an immediate opening for a **Truck Welder / Mechanic** in Bellevue, Nebraska. This is a full-time, long-term position with a stable and growing organization. If you’re a self-motivated, hardworking individual who doesn’t mind getting your hands dirty and has strong communication skills, we want to talk to you!

    Schedule

    + Monday – Friday

    + 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform welding repairs and fabrication on truck bodies, frames, and components.

    + Diagnose structural issues and determine appropriate repair methods.

    + Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick) and cutting tools safely and effectively.

    + Assist with routine maintenance and mechanical repairs as needed.

    + Ensure all work meets company safety standards and DOT regulations.

    + Maintain accurate records of repairs and materials used.

    + Collaborate with mechanics and fleet supervisors to prioritize repairs.

    Working Conditions

    + Requires strenuous physical work, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 lbs.

    + Exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts; safety precautions required.

    + Work may be indoors in a shop or outdoors in the yard; sometimes involves awkward positions and handling greasy tools.

    Minimum Requirements

    + Valid driver’s license.

    + Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.

    + Forklift experience preferred.

    + 2+ years of welding/mechanical experience preferred.
