About the Role:

The Break Relief Operator-Plant plays a critical role in maintaining continuous and efficient plant operations by providing essential coverage during scheduled breaks and absences of primary operators. This position ensures that all plant processes run smoothly without interruption, contributing directly to the overall productivity and safety of the facility. The operator must quickly adapt to various operational tasks, monitor equipment performance, and respond promptly to any irregularities or emergencies. By maintaining a high level of vigilance and operational knowledge, the Break Relief Operator supports the plant’s commitment to quality and compliance with safety standards. Ultimately, this role is vital in sustaining operational excellence and minimizing downtime within the plant environment.

Hours - Monday - Friday 12AM -830AM

Pay - $26.61 plus .75 shift differential

Union - Teamsters Local 50 must join the union

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Previous experience in a manufacturing or plant operations environment.

+ Basic understanding of plant equipment and operational procedures.

+ Ability to follow safety protocols and operational guidelines consistently.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during relief periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Certification or training in industrial operations or equipment handling.

+ Experience with process control systems and instrumentation.

+ Familiarity with OSHA regulations and plant safety standards.

+ Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a plant or manufacturing setting.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide operational coverage during breaks and absences of primary plant operators to ensure uninterrupted plant functionality.

+ Monitor and control plant equipment and processes according to established procedures and safety guidelines.

+ Conduct routine inspections and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

+ Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and implement corrective actions as directed.

+ Maintain accurate logs and documentation of operational activities and incidents during relief periods.

+ Collaborate with team members to support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold safety standards.

The Break Relief Operator-Plant utilizes their operational knowledge and attention to detail daily to monitor and control plant processes effectively.
