    Position Highlights

    Floyd Valley Healthcare has a full-time opening for a Chief Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)! This position will report directly to the CEO with a close working relationship with the FVH OR Manager.

     

    Enjoy a 4-day work week and 1 in 6 call rotation!

    Chief CRNA Duties include:

    + Provide anesthesia care for surgical patients and assists with emergency management and emergency IV access

    + Assure overall high quality and patient safety for all CRNA-related functions

    + Establish and set FVH CRNA work schedule, approve PTO requests in conjunction with OR Manager

    + Represent CRNAs on Active Medical Staff

    + Evaluate, submit, and monitor all CRNA performance improvement projects

    + Complete performance appraisals on all FVH-employed CRNAs

    + Address performance concerns both clinically and professionally for all CRNA-related activities within FVH

    + Ensure overall compliance with FVH CRNA policies, ensuring best practice and standard of care is bring met; annual review of all CRNA policies

    + Ensure adequate coverage is in place for FVH Operating Rooms, including same day procedures

    + Oversight of FVH Pain Management Services

    + Provide education to surgery department staff on relevant topics

    + Conduct CRNA department meetings to ensure collaboration and consistency among team

    Job Requirements:

    + Current CRNA licensure in the State of Iowa; current certifications as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists

    + Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa or meet the requirements of a multi-state license.

    + CRNA experience required; leadership experience preferred
