Job Description:
+ Conduct design, analysis, studies, evaluation, and recapitalization of electrical circuits, power monitoring and control systems, electric propulsion, and power generation.
+ Conduct performance studies, and develop reports, drawings or specifications relating to electrical power and generation.
+ Evaluate effect of new or modified electronics on overall system performance.
+ Knowledge U.S. Navy Power Distribution Architecture.
+ Review and adjudicate system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS’s), Request for Waiver (RFW), Engineering Changes (EC’s).
+ Knowledge of USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
Required Skills and Experiences:
+ Minimum of 5 years’ documented experience working in one of the following specialized fields: electric propulsion, machinery control, power generation or distribution systems.
+ Experience in design of electrical and electronic systems for shipbuilding, U.S. Navy, DoD, or U.S. Coast Guard programs preferred.
Degree Requirements:
+ Must be a U.S. citizen
+ A secret security clearance
