Job Description:
+ Conduct design of electric and electronic systems, study power generation and distribution, centralized machinery monitoring and control.
+ Applying knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques, to develop and evaluate moderately complex technical reports related to application of C5I systems onboard USCG ships.
+ Reviewing and evaluating the effect of new and/or modified electronics on overall system performance.
+ Review and adjudicate system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS’s), Request for Waiver (RFW), Engineering Changes (EC’s).
+ Knowledge of USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
Required Skills and Experiences:
+ Minimum of 5 years’ of documented experience integrating C5I systems in one of the (three preferred) following categories: Cybersecurity, Command and Control, Navigation, Networking, Internal Communications, External Communications, Sensors, Combat Systems, or Intelligence Systems.
+ Meets Required DoD IAT Level II Baseline Certification Requirements.
Previous experience with shipboard and defense C5I systems preferred.
Degree Requirements:
+ Must be a U.S. citizen
+ A secret security clearance
