As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

+ Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.

+ Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.

+ Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by addressing questions and assisting with directions or information as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any unusual conditions.

+ Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client guidelines.

+ Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or lockdown procedures.

+ Collaborate with site staff and other Allied Universal personnel to maintain a secure and orderly environment at the logistics and distribution location.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ X-ray screening experience is preferred.

+ Loss prevention experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
