As a **Security Officer - Armed** in **Annandale, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a strong presence within a healthcare location. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing proper judgment and protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help maintain order and protect property.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.

+ Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns and emergencies.

+ Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements.

+ Remain alert and observant to help identify potential risks and/or hazards within the healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.

+ An armed guard card or license is required.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
