    $70/hr - $75/hr

    A cybersecurity consulting firm is seeking a Firewall Engineer to manage and secure enterprise firewall environments. This fully remote role supports the design, operation, and security of enterprise and data center network infrastructure, with a focus on Check Point and Palo Alto platforms. The position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance and includes ownership of firewall policy administration, production support, and incident response.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage enterprise firewalls, including upgrades, policy administration, and validation

    + Administer Check Point and Palo Alto firewall platforms

    + Implement firewall changes aligned with security policies

    + Maintain network and security documentation

    + Support enterprise and data center network infrastructure

    + Monitor and tune IDS/IPS, URL filtering, antivirus, and malware detection tools

    Requirements

    + 4+ years hands-on with Check Point and Palo Alto firewalls

    + Strong understanding of firewall rules, security policies, and network troubleshooting

    + Packet capture and OSI-layer troubleshooting experience

    + Ability to work independently and communicate clearly\#LI-PF1
