Job Title: Wiring Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Wiring Technician to join our team, where you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining electrical/electronic systems and equipment. You will ensure adherence to safety standards and customer specifications in a dynamic and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities

+ Build and terminate point-to-point wiring, ensuring wires are cut to the correct length.

+ Install wireways, conduits, cable trays, and ground electrical equipment in compliance with NEC code and customer specifications.

+ Perform simple connections of utility wires and demonstrate an understanding of electrical circuit functions.

+ Thread conduits, read blueprints, and utilize basic hand tools and measuring devices effectively.

+ Maintain tools in good working condition and perform housekeeping duties to keep the work area clean and orderly.

+ Attend safety meetings, wear protective gear, and maintain awareness of Quality Standards and safety stations to prevent on-the-job injuries.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and wiring diagrams.

+ Experience with point-to-point wiring and terminating wires.

+ Ability to measure wiring accurately.

+ Basic hand tools and measuring device usage.

+ Vocational/technical degree in electricity or equivalent experience is beneficial.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience leading groups, assigning functions, and identifying proper installations.

+ Experience with DCS systems, VFDs, ATS, transformers, DC chargers, and PLC cabinets.

+ High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Work Environment

You will work in a primarily un-air-conditioned plant area, requiring physical activities such as heavy lifting, moderate reaching and climbing, and heavy stooping/kneeling. The role requires wearing steel toe boots and adheres to a **Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM** shift schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MILLINGTON, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
