Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to oversee all aspects of electronic and mechanical assembly, including surface mount technology, through-hole assembly, and more. This role involves resolving manufacturing and process issues, developing and documenting assembly steps, and collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure product designs are reliable, cost-effective, and designed for manufacturability and testability.
Responsibilities
+ Resolve manufacturing and process issues.
+ Develop, qualify, and document assembly steps and manufacturing processes to meet product requirements.
+ Review and update incoming client documentation.
+ Collaborate with NPI groups to develop hardware and electromechanical assemblies.
+ Support supply chain with analysis of alternate electrical components and commodity management.
+ Identify, design, procure, and validate fixtures and tools; support factory equipment selection to meet production plans.
+ Initiate and complete technical projects leading to new or improved products or processes.
+ Perform process capability assessments and establish methods to control process output.
+ Develop, verify, and validate products from process development to commercialization.
+ Train and provide work direction to operators and technicians.
+ Research and recommend new technologies to improve reliability, efficiency, and cost reduction.
+ Communicate business and technical needs, status, results, and observations to technical and business teams.
+ Maintain current process documentation including Work Instructions, Standard Work documents, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
+ Participate in and coordinate 5S initiatives, Lean Manufacturing, and other improvement activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering
+ 3-5 years of experience preferred
+ Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to organize and prioritize work based on business needs
+ Knowledge of CAD software
+ Knowledge of printed circuit board manufacturing, including gerber files and CAM software
Work Environment
The candidate will be onsite, spending approximately 60% of their time on the production floor and 40% in the office. Typical working hours are flexible, around 7-4 pm or 8-5 pm. The environment offers a small company feel within a larger company, with opportunities to work on a variety of similar products for numerous customers.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
