Job Title: ArchitectJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Job Captain to join our healthcare studio. In this role, you will collaborate directly with both design and technical teams to coordinate work with subconsultants, produce construction document (CD) set drawings, and mentor entry-level staff. The projects you will support range from data center, industrial, to hospital projects.
Responsibilities
+ Modify or create implementation documents and complex drawings with limited guidance, applying architectural techniques and procedures requiring independent judgment.
+ Coordinate design group interactions both internally and externally, assisting with consultant team work sessions.
+ Manage project work of the architectural team as appropriate.
+ Perform design computations and document preparation, maintaining information flow to the project team to reflect the design intent in implementation documents and coordinating with consultants to ensure system compatibility.
+ Assist with review, modification, and coordination of implementation documents prior to issue, ensuring compliance with code and zoning requirements for the assigned project segment.
+ Execute deliverables according to the scope of services and company standards, best practices, and quality expectations.
+ Attend client or consultant meetings as necessary.
+ Participate in team meetings to discuss project issues, technical challenges, and coordination with other disciplines.
+ Understand the financial aspects of a project, including basic accounting principles related to project and firm profitability, and be accountable for project planning and utilization rates.
+ Contribute to growing and maintaining client relationships and support business development efforts.
+ Assist in pursuing new project opportunities through relationship development or identifying additional work from existing clients.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Revit is essential.
+ Experience consulting with clients and stakeholders for project deliverables.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
+ Licensed Architect in Pennsylvania is highly preferred; special consideration may be given in specific cases without this license.
Work Environment
The work schedule is flexible, combining in-office and remote work, typically requiring three days in the office. During the first 30 days, employees are encouraged to spend more than four days in the office to acclimate to the firm and team members. The environment is highly collaborative, utilizing offices in New York City, Washington D.C., and Richmond, VA to staff all projects. We offer plans to offset licensing costs and parking benefits.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $57.00/hr.
