    Job Title: Field Service Technician

    Job Description

    This role is responsible for installing, developing, and programming controls databases, graphics, and sequences of operations. Candidates with experience in Building Management Systems (BMS) or Building Automation Systems (BAS), such as Tridium, are preferred. The position involves performing accurate system start-up and commissioning, including point-to-point verification, alarm testing, and ensuring proper equipment responses. You will support installation teams on job sites, collaborate with other contractors, and troubleshoot issues during both static and dynamic start-up phases.

    Responsibilities

    + Install, develop, and program controls databases, graphics, and sequences of operations.

    + Perform system start-up and commissioning, including point-to-point verification and alarm testing.

    + Ensure proper equipment responses during start-up.

    + Support installation teams on job sites and collaborate with other contractors.

    + Troubleshoot issues during both static and dynamic start-up phases.

    Essential Skills

    + Electromechanical aptitude through a two-year technical degree in HVAC or Electronics-related studies.

    + Experience with Ohms, multi-meters, volt meters, and oscilloscopes.

    + Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in Building Automation Systems/Building Management Systems is a plus.

    + Familiarity with sensors, controllers, thermostats, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, RTUs, and FCUs.

    + Experience with VFDs, submittals, wiring diagrams, and point-to-point verification.

    + Skills in wire pulling and running CAT 6 cables in conduit.

    + Proficiency in Direct Digital Control (DDC) technology, building maintenance, and repair.

    Work Environment

    This position involves frequent work in outdoor environments across various installation and construction sites, with travel required as project needs arise. The role includes time spent in mechanical and equipment rooms and may require working in extreme weather conditions. You will routinely encounter live voltage, moving mechanical components, heavy machinery, and wet or humid environments. Certain tasks may also take place in elevated or otherwise challenging locations, requiring awareness and adherence to safety practices. Pay can be higher or lower depending on experience.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
