Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in accounting practices and financial reporting. The role focuses on ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting operations while contributing to the overall financial integrity of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded.

• Prepare and post journal entries, verifying data accuracy and completeness.

• Conduct account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies effectively.

• Manage bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are properly accounted for.

• Utilize QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online for accounting tasks and reporting.

• Support financial activities related to acquisitions and ensure proper integration.

• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and maintain compliance.

• Provide detailed financial reports and analysis to assist in decision-making.

• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards in all accounting practices. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably at a senior level.

• Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.

• Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation.

• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Advanced skills in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online.

• Ability to handle financial tasks related to acquisitions.

• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
