    Description

    The Cable Technician installs, terminates, and tests structured and low-voltage cabling to support network, voice, and security systems. This role works hands-on in commercial environments, ensuring reliable, standards-compliant infrastructure installations.

    Requirements

    Experience installing and terminating Cat5, Cat5e, and Cat6 cabling

     

    Low-voltage cabling experience (data, voice, security systems)

     

    Access control and security system wiring experience (card readers, door controllers, cameras)

     

    Experience with patch panels, racks, and cable management

     

    Ability to test, label, and certify cabling using appropriate tools

     

    Comfortable working in ceilings, crawl spaces, and equipment rooms

    Ability to read wiring diagrams, floor plans, and installation schematics
