Description We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Director to lead HR operations in a dynamic startup environment in San Diego, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or manufacturing-focused HR, particularly within the heat exchanger industry, and the ability to recruit top technical talent for research and development in thermal technologies. This role also requires fostering a collaborative and innovative company culture while managing HR functions effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's goals and support its technical startup environment.

• Recruit skilled technical professionals for research and development in thermal and heat exchanger technologies.

• Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure they remain competitive and attract top talent.

• Provide guidance and support on employee relations, ensuring a positive and productive workplace.

• Manage HR administrative tasks, including compliance with labor laws and company policies.

• Collaborate with leadership to foster a culture that promotes innovation and teamwork.

• Evaluate and improve recruitment processes to enhance hiring efficiency and effectiveness.

• Lead decision-making on staffing, promotions, and workforce planning to meet organizational needs.

• Maintain employee records and ensure accurate documentation of HR activities.

• Partner with managers to identify and address employee development and training needs. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Proven experience in HR leadership within the engineering or manufacturing sector, preferably in the heat exchanger industry.

• Strong knowledge of recruiting practices, particularly for technical roles.

• Expertise in compensation and benefits management.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Familiarity with HR administration and compliance requirements.

• Ability to cultivate a collaborative and innovative company culture.

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to address HR challenges effectively.
