+ Collaborate with Nurse Directors, Managers, Medical Staff Officers, and other leaders to track and trend adverse outcomes, medical malpractice claims, and complaint/grievance responses, ensuring timely, respectful, and comprehensive resolution of patient concerns.
+ Design and deliver Risk Management education, including orientation, ongoing training, and targeted programs for staff and physicians. Promote awareness, safety practices, and risk reduction strategies across the organization.
+ Serve as the hospital’s agent for service of legal process, coordinating litigation-related activities such as record requests, interrogatories, depositions, and employee preparation. Provide guidance and counsel to staff involved in legal proceedings.
+ Act as the primary hospital contact for regulatory agencies, including the Massachusetts DPH, the Boards of Registration in Medicine and Nursing, and the Joint Commission.
