    APEX Program is an innovative program that has been providing services to the students in the state of Georgia, supported by Georgia Department of Behavioral Health ad Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD, and school systems.

     

    View Point Health APEX Team takes pride in making a difference and continues to expand services to more and mir schools each year. Key to success has been having a great team of clinicians supported by caring and effective clerical team members.

     

    Under genera l supervision, performs psychosocial assessments, treatments planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Conduct comprehensive assessment and follow agency intake SOP.

    + Collaboratively formulate a treatment plan addressing issues identified in assessment.

    + Provide prevention, education, and early intervention services at school, including but not limited to faculty consultation, student services team staffing, support group for students and parent education, staff meetings and in-service training.

    + Coordinate treatment with the student, their family and teacher and other resources as indicated (e.g., probation officer, student support team, natural supports, physician and school student support professionals)

    + Complete all required documentation (daily clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans) in an accurate and timely manner (agency standard 24 hrs.)

    + Participate in regular team meetings to collaborate regarding shared clients, build and practice new skills, and stay up to date on agency administrative information.

    + Participate in clinical supervision to increase competence and professional development.

    + Performs other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

    + Other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and eligibility to be licensed and two (2) years of supervised experience in the area of assignment or two years of experience at the lower-level Social Worker, Licensed 1 (HCP050) or position equivalent.

     

    Note: Positions may require associate or full licensure in the state of Georgia (LCSW, LPC, APC, LMSW, LMFT).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with Carelogic or other EHR/EMR.

    + Previous clinical experience working in Community Mental Health Care for child and adolescent population.

    Requirements/Competencies:

    + Must be able to lift 20 pounds.

    + Requires long periods of sitting/standing.

    + Must have valid Georgia driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.

    + Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).

    + Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.

    + Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities

     

    Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
