Special Education Teacher – $50/hr – Tempe, AZ – Full-Time

Position Overview:

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to special education students in a middle school resource setting. The teacher will work collaboratively with the Special Education Program Administrator and general education staff to implement individualized programs, provide special instruction, and support student success.

Assignment Details:

+ Location: Tempe, AZ

+ Start Date: January 19, 2026

+ End Date: End of 2025–2026 school year

+ Schedule: 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday)

+ Modality: In-person

+ Pay Rate: $50/hr

+ Contract Length: 16 weeks

+ Caseload: Middle School Resource SPED

+ Interview: In-person strongly preferred

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Valid Arizona teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement

+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB screening and health clearance

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

Helpful Information:

+ No para support in the classroom

+ No severe behaviors; students may be disruptive or disobedient

+ Ideal candidate is positive, hands-on, and able to connect with students
