Required Education/Experience
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 2 years of engineering work experience in the application of relay protection systems at either the distribution or transmission level.
Relevant Work Experience
+ Possess strong technical competence, organizational skills, and attention to detail, required.
+ Flexibility to manage multiple assignments with shifting priorities and deadlines, required.
+ Proven analytical abilities, required.
+ High regard for personal accountability and a strong commitment to Engineering Excellence, required.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with subordinates, colleagues, and various levels of management, required.
+ Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), required.
+ Protection experience, such as in setting relays, performing coordination, fault studies, developing logic, or using related software, preferred.
+ Familiarity with power system fault analysis, either by hand calculation or software tools, preferred.
+ Familiarity with NERC Reliability Standards (such as PRC-002, 004, 006 etc.), preferred.

+ Driver's License Required
Physical Demands
+ Ability to respond to system emergencies
+ Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold
+ Ability to work with, and in, the vicinity of high voltage and/or other high-energy systems
+ Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday
+ Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies
+ Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses
Additional Physical Demands
+ The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
+ Ability to travel both regionally and continent-wide, to attend conferences, meetings, as needed.
