Job Description :

_Sign on Bonus Eligible: $30,000 (3 year commitment)_

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Performs prescribed MRI imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative. Provides support of coordination of staff and area functions as well as may serve as a physician liaison.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Performs all essential job responsibilities of a MRI Technologist, including but not limited to performing age-specific diagnostic imaging per established protocols. Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, physicians and other team members. Addresses patient and physician concerns. Responds to adverse events and/or any changes with patient's status. (50%)

+ Acts as a day –to- day mentor/resource for staff and others within the department. Orients and trains new staff and students. (20%)

+ Performs and/or trains others relative to quality assurance activities, quality control, and regulatory testing and accreditation preparation/documentation. (10%)

+ Demonstrates proficiency in the performance of specialty exams and analyzes data promptly to resolve problems and improve efficiency. Enter new or edit existing MRI scanner protocols. (10%)

+ Participates in standardization activities and process improvement initiatives with system-level workgroups. (5%)

+ Coverage of chief tech duties as assigned (5%)

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum

+ Associate’s Degree; or Certification from a technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ ARRT (MR) Radiography certification or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification.

+ 2 years of MRI Experience.

+ CPR – American Heart Association.

+ Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

+ Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.

+ Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Preferred

+ Bachelor's degree
