    **Salary:** $70,000-$80,000/annually

    Sous Chef | Los Angeles, CA

     

    Are you a driven, hands-on culinary professional ready to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking an **energetic and entrepreneurial Sous Chef** to support the successful operation of a dynamic culinary program in Los Angeles.

     

    In this role, you’ll work closely with the **Executive Chef** to lead kitchen operations, develop menus, execute catering events, and deliver high-quality food in a fast-paced, professional environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Sous Chef with **consistent experience in Business & Industry (B&I)** or a proven track record as a **Sous Chef in an LA-based restaurant** .

    What You’ll Do

    + Support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily culinary operations

    + Assist with menu planning, development, and execution

    + Prepare, cook, garnish, and present high-quality menu items

    + Produce and execute on-site and off-site catering events

    + Help manage food and labor costs while maintaining quality standards

    + Roll out new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams

    + Supervise and mentor hourly culinary associates

    + Assist with ordering, inventory, and kitchen organization

    Job Summary

    What We’re Looking For

    + A.S. degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional experience

    + Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience

    + Consistent experience in **B&I foodservice** or as a **Sous Chef in a high-quality LA restaurant**

    + Catering experience (preferred)

    + Experience in **high-volume, complex foodservice operations** (highly desirable)

    + Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking (a plus)

    + Strong understanding of culinary trends, food quality, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation

    + Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, email, internet)

    + Willingness to participate in client satisfaction initiatives

    + **ServSafe Certification** (highly desirable)
