    RESPONSIBILITIES

    I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • As assigned, leads work activities in maintaining an orderly, sanitary, attractive and safe condition of The Queen’s Medical Center – West Oahu (QMC-WO).

    • Performs duties in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

    • Performs duties of a Housekeeping Aide or Heavy Cleaner as required.

    II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Standing, stooping/bending, twisting body, seeing, reaching above at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged period.

    • Continuous: walking.

    • Frequent: climbing stairs, squatting, finger dexterity, hearing, speaking, lifting and carrying usual weight of 40 pounds, pushing/pulling maximum 5 pounds of force, frequent gripping of an object.

    • Occasional: sitting, kneeling, crawling, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying weight up to maximum weight of 50 pounds.

    III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

    • Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions.

    • Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and materials.

    IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

    • High School diploma preferred.

    B. EXPERIENCE:

    • One (1) year experience as a Housekeeping Aide or Heavy Cleaner.

    • Prior experience as a lead housekeeping worker preferred.

    • Demonstrated ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
