• Part Time Nurse

    ABM Industries (Shelby, NC)


    Overview

     

    The Part-Time Nurse position will provide, observe and assess and administer patient care as assigned.

    Essential Functions

    + Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.

    + Complies with all Nursing safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.

    + Must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.

    + Monitor and report symptoms and changes in patient status.

    + Collaborate with medical team on patient status.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain complete and accurate patient records.

    + Be able to do schedules and keep track of the nurses' hours.

    + Prepare patients and assist with patient examinations as needed.

    + Assist with diagnostic tests and interpret results.

    + Provide educational, emotional, and psychological support to patients.

    + Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with healthcare procedures and regulations.

    + Adhere to infection-control protocols.

    + Follow medication administration and storage procedures and regulations.

    + Monitor and co-ordinate maintenance of equipment operation and inventory.

    + Educate and instruct patients as needed.

    + Miscellaneous duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Must be 18 years of age or older

    + Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available

    + Must be able to pass all required training to work in a nuclear power plant.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Register Nurse Degree from an approved nursing program.

    + Current licensure by the relevant state nursing board.

    + Certifications as required such as CPR.

    + Relevant experience.
