Job Overview
As a Regional Buyer at Crescent Electric, you will be responsible for the inventory planning, maintenance, and procurement activities within assigned locations. You will need a balanced emphasis on increasing service levels to customers while achieving targets related to the turnover of inventory in multiple locations. You will be expected to maintain and enhance relationships with customers, employees and suppliers.
Primary Duties:
+ Maintain effective knowledge of supplier markets and build collaborative relationships with various disposition channels available to CESCO. Work closely and effectively with the Category Managers to improve the relationship with all core suppliers as defined by the approved supplier list. Deploy the strategic plans with all core suppliers.
+ Partner with the local management team to review appropriate inventory targets by category/item. Support the day-to-day purchasing operations for assigned locations, including the processing of user requisitions, research, and selection of potential suppliers, negotiation of pricing and terms, and issuance of purchase orders.
+ Achieve established on-time service goals through effective management of inventory policies, practices, and supplier management.
+ Continuously measure key performance metrics to achieve scorecard objectives aimed at the return on invested capital, service, and balancing inventory investments and service goals.
+ Place, track, delegate, and expedite purchase orders.
+ Negotiate price, quality, service, payment terms, and returns of inactive material.
**Qualifications** :
+ Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
+ Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Experience with Eclipse ERP is preferred.
Physical Demands:
+ Occasionally standing and walking. Most of the time sitting, use of hands/fingers, talking/hearing. Often reaching with hands/arms.
+ While performing this job, the employee must have the ability to travel to company locations 10-20% of the time, with overnight stays.
