    Elevate Care is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Respiratory Therapy to lead and oversee our respiratory services across the facility. This leadership role is ideal for a strong clinical professional who is ready to guide a team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive high-quality respiratory care outcomes.

     

    As the Director of Respiratory Therapy, you will be responsible for managing daily respiratory operations, mentoring staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary leadership, and ensuring exceptional care for our residents.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide leadership and oversight of the Respiratory Therapy department

    + Manage staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and performance of respiratory staff

    + Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards

    + Develop, implement, and evaluate respiratory care policies and procedures

    + Oversee ventilator management and respiratory equipment utilization

    + Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams

    + Monitor quality metrics, outcomes, and departmental performance

    + Lead staff education, training, and competency evaluations

    + Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide clinical support as needed

    Qualifications:

    + Active Respiratory Therapist (RRT preferred) license in good standing

    + BLS and ACLS certification required

    + Prior leadership or supervisory experience in respiratory care

    + Strong knowledge of ventilator management and respiratory protocols

    + Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

    + Ability to work independently and manage departmental operations

    + Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
