    Amazon internships are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have conflicts such as class or other employment during the Amazon work day.

     

    The IP & Literary team at Amazon Studios is seeking a summer intern! We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated person with a passion for TV, movies, and a deep love of reading who thrives in a highly collaborative environment, but is also comfortable working autonomously.

     

    The IP & Literary department of Amazon Studios identifies and sources intellectual property (IP) for potential film/tv adaptation. These include primarily books (fiction & non-fiction), but also articles, podcasts/audio content, graphic novels, manga, video games, musicals/plays, board games, and other forms of IP. We work with our domestic film and television departments, as well as our local language territories around the world.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Help with the creation of the IP memo, which tracks new material in the external marketplace.

    • Distribute a weekly memo, reporting on major publishing deals, material optioned, and new industry trends in both the publishing and audio space.

    • Read material and perform coverage (synopsis of the material and one's thoughts).

    • Dive deep into the publishing industry & ancillary IP marketplaces

    Basic Qualifications

    - Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum

     

    - Currently enrolled in an MBA or equivalent Master’s level program at the time of application, with anticipated graduation dates between December 2026 and June 2028

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, AirTable, Demonstrative experience or coursework that required analyzing large quantities of quantitative and qualitative data.

     

    - Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to succinctly summarize and analyze books, films, games, and other pieces of IP.

     

    - Knowledge of the television and film industry, including key outlets, platforms, and creators.

     

    - Passion for literature, gaming, anime, and/or graphic novels is ideal.

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58,968/year in our lowest geographic market up to $82,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
