Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic Level 2 to perform mechanical repairs on industrial equipment, such as boilers, blast furnaces, cranes, gearboxes, and more. The ideal candidate will have expertise in power trains and be proficient in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities
+ Mechanically repair industrial equipment including boilers, blast furnaces, cranes, gearboxes, and mobile equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, with a focus on replacing pumps and hoses.
+ Read and interpret blueprints for repair purposes.
+ Use hand and power tools effectively.
+ Rebuild industrial machinery and address breakdowns.
+ Maintain and repair overhead cranes and other heavy equipment.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of experience as a Millwright in the steel, oil & gas, or mining industry.
+ Experience with hydraulic systems maintenance.
+ Proficiency in equipment maintenance such as boom cranes, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
+ Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems independently and within a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED is recommended but not required.
+ Welding experience, including MIG and STICK welding, is a plus.
+ Nice to have: heavy equipment maintenance and leadership experience.

Work Environment
This position is based in a heavy industrial steel forging facility, which is generally hot and dirty due to the melting of steel. Candidates should be comfortable working in such an environment, with experience in similar conditions preferred. Work is primarily indoors, but employees will occasionally move between buildings and be exposed to weather elements. PPE, including steel-toed boots, hard hats, and safety glasses, must be worn at all times. The role requires working 50-60 hours weekly, typically across 6 days, with shifts available on the 2nd (2:00pm-10:30pm) and 3rd (10:00pm-6:30am) shifts

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $61360.00/yr.
Finkl is a heavy industrial steel forging facility so it is generally dirty and hot due to the melting of steel. Candidates should not only be locked down on working in this environment but have had previous experience in a similar environment as well.
It is a steel foundry so there is mainly indoor work, but workers will go outside to walk to other locations/buildings. They will be exposed to the elements during season changes and can be walking in between 4-5 different buildings as their property is very large. They will work inside, but typically there are open garages to move product in and out with heavy equipment so will be exposed to the elements of weather. Employees must wear PPE at all times including steel toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses and any other required PPE.
2nd shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm (Shift Differential is $2.00/hr)
3rd shift 10:00pm-6:30am (Shift Differential is $4.00/hr)
