    Description

    We are seeking a Medical Customer Service Specialist to join a dynamic team, serving as the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers. You will help ensure a positive experience by answering inquiries, resolving concerns, verifying information, and supporting daily operations within a medical office or healthcare organization.

     

    Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Respond to patient requests via phone, email, and in person, delivering prompt, professional assistance

    + Manage patient registration, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance coverage

    + Resolve billing, claims, and account inquiries accurately

    + Maintain confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations

    + Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to coordinate patient care and communications

    + Document interactions and follow up to ensure timely resolution of issues

    + Educate patients on office procedures, healthcare services, and next steps

    Requirements

    + Previous experience in a healthcare customer service or medical office support role preferred

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Proficient with medical billing software or electronic health records (EHR) systems

    + Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment

    + Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

    + Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus

    + High school diploma required; additional healthcare or administrative coursework is ideal
