    PEL w/ ESL or Dual Language Endorsement

     

    Start: ASAP • Through End of School Year

     

    Hours: 7:40 AM – 2:40 PM

     

    We’re looking for an energetic, student-focused General Education Teacher to join a junior high team committed to growth, collaboration, and engaging instruction.     About the Role

    The General Education Teacher will:

    + Implement daily instructional plans in an effective and engaging way

    + Maintain a classroom environment that supports student learning and personal growth

    + Build strong rapport with students while ensuring effective classroom management

    + Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers to support student success

    + Communicate with students, parents, and staff as needed

    + Support a safe, organized, and student-centered learning space

    Position Details

    + Modality: General Education – PEL with ESL or Dual Language endorsement

    + Grade Levels: Junior High (6–8)

    + Caseload: n/a

    + Classroom Support: None

    + Contract Dates: ASAP – End of School Year

    + Hours: 7:40 AM – 2:40 PM

    Minimum Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher

    + Valid Illinois teaching license/certification (PEL)

    + ESL or Dual Language endorsement required

    + One year of teaching experience preferred

    + Ability to take direct responsibility for student safety and well-being

    + Ability to read and implement instructional plans

    + Strong communication skills with students, parents, staff, and administrators

    + Comfort with basic math concepts

    + Adherence to professional teaching standards

    + CPR certification if applicable

    + TB/PPD screening and health certificate if required

    + Must meet all federal, state, and district requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years old
