13735BRJob Description:United States Steel is seeking an Area Manager - Cold Roll/Coated Operations at our Granite City Works facility. This position is responsible for managing the overall activities performed by the Cold Roll/Coated Operations Department as well as ensuring quality, continuity, and efficiency of the operations. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager - Rolling & Finishing.
Requirements:
+ Responsible for managing the overall activities performed by the Cold Rolled/Coated Operations Department as well as ensuring quality, continuity, and efficiency of operations.
+ A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
+ Minimum of 8-10 years’ work experience in Cold Rolled/Coated Operations
+ Prior experience required as a manager of plant operation, or another closely related discipline; plant production, quality, and delivery experience; and supervision/management of a unionized workforce.
+ The preferred candidate will have knowledge/experience relating to strategic planning, business judgment, project management skills, continuous improvement, and the ability to support safety as the corporation's primary core value.
Base salary range $130,000 - $150,000. This base salary range is a good faith estimate. Based on candidate skills/experience the final offer may be lower/higher.
