Duties: The Associate Staff in the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus (9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44195) administers spinal, moderate, and general anesthetic to adult and pediatric patients; determines degree of surgical risk and type and quality of anesthetic; discusses findings with medical practitioners; positions patient on operating table; establishes remedial measures to counteract adverse reactions and complications; documents and records type and amount of anesthetic administered; and provides guidance for students, residents, fellows and staff in regards to clinical research, protocol development, statistical approaches, database management and manuscript preparation. Variable shifts with day, night, and weekend coverage. On call responsibilities, as needed.
Requirements: At a minimum, the position requires: MD, DO, or foreign equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation or as evidenced by an ECFMG certificate; completion of a four (4) year residency in anesthesiology; one (1) year fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology; and eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience ($520,000 - $559,500)

The salary range displayed in this job posting reflects the anticipated salary range for new physicians hired into full-time (100% FTE) positions. This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.
