    Responsibilities

    + Conduct comprehensive respiratory and ventilator assessments

    + Evaluate weaning potential and respiratory rehabilitation opportunities

    + Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized respiratory care plans

    + Initiate and manage ventilator weaning protocols per physician orders

    + Administer prescribed respiratory medications and treatments

    + Perform scheduled and PRN respiratory interventions

    + Monitor labs, clinical indicators, and ventilator parameters within scope of practice

    + Document care clearly and concisely, includingventilation checks every 12 hoursper PSC policy

    + Maintain accurate progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries

    + Communicate clinical findings and recommendations to physicians and interdisciplinary team members

    + Educate families, caregivers, and staff on respiratory equipment and procedures

    + Assist with in-service training and onboarding education for staff

    + Ensure safe, cost-effective use of respiratory equipment and supplies

    Qualifications

    + Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy required (Bachelor’s preferred)

    + Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania Respiratory Therapist license

    + RRT or CRT credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care

    + Current CPR (AHA Healthcare Provider) certification

    + Must be at least 21 years of age

    + Pediatric, ventilator, or long-term care experience preferred (but not required — we will support training)
