**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Systems Engineer** to join our team in the **Washington, DC** location. This is an **onsite** position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Maintain, implement and document diverse technology solutions, including client/server and VDI applications, while developing comprehensive ITIL Service Design Packages encompassing SLAs and Capacity Management plans.

+ Deploy and maintain enterprise-level infrastructure, focusing on high-capacity SAN environments, backup infrastructures with Data-at-Rest security, and robust Disaster Recovery solutions.

+ Engineer and support a large-scale, distributed IT infrastructure using a wide-ranging tech stack that includes Windows/Red Hat OS, VMware, SQL Server, and Microsoft enterprise applications.

+ Document the implementation of critical security features and ensure all infrastructure adheres to rigorous security standards, including the integration of tools like HBSS and Splunk.

+ Investigate and resolve complex operational problems through end-to-end functional analysis, performance modeling, and requirements specification.

+ Lead technology evaluation and reengineering initiatives to drive workload automation and continuous process improvement across the enterprise.

+ Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance to customers, Program Managers, and junior engineering staff while strictly following ITIL-based Change and Problem Management policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in an IT or STEM field with 2+ years’ experience as an enterprise systems administrator in a client or server environment, including deployment automation tools. An associate’s degree with 6 years, or a high school diploma with 8 years’ experience may be substituted for a degree

+ DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification required (Security+, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, CND or SSCP)

+ DoD 8570 computing environment certification within 6 months of hire

+ Extensive knowledge of Windows based systems including Hardware, software, networking, and storage – familiar with Windows Server platforms, preferably 2019 and above and familiar with MS Windows operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Certifications such as MCSE: Core Infrastructure, VMware: VCTA – CMA

+ Willingness to work after normal duty hours (nights and weekends) during scheduled maintenance windows 1 to 2 times a month on average

+ Hyper-V, Failover Cluster experience

+ Commvault experience

+ McAfee EPO, DLP experience

+ Microsoft Windows Deployment Server or equivalent experience

+ Proficiency in PowerShell and/or other scripting languages

Clearance Requirements:

+ Must have a current/active DOD Top Secret security clearance, adjudicated within the last 6 years and be willing and able to obtain a polygraph

Physical Requirements:

+ The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
