    Job Title: Handyman

    Job Description

    We are seeking a versatile Handyman to join our team in Bohemia. This role involves performing various construction tasks on trailers returning from job sites before they are dispatched to new projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in facilities maintenance/handyman work.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist with remodeling and repairs on trailers.

    + Gather tools for the carpenter and assist with construction tasks.

    + Perform basic drywall work and PVC plumbing maintenance.

    + Conduct light electrical work as needed.

    + Support the lead carpenter and project manager in their duties.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience utilizing hand and power tools such as wrenches, drills, saws, and screwdrivers.

    + Handyman skills including carpentry, electrical work, painting, and plumbing.

    + At least two years of experience in facilities maintenance, subcontracting, or general contracting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1-3 years of experience in skilled trades or construction.

    + Knowledge of various hand and power tools.

    + Ability to understand and follow instructions from the carpenter.

    Work Environment

     

    Work is performed at one location in Bohemia. The position requires adherence to safety regulations, including wearing safety glasses at all times. The role is primarily on the first shift from 6AM-3:30PM, Monday through Friday, with frequent overtime. The team culture is welcoming and supportive, providing candidates with their own safety gear.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bay Shore, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
