Coordinates the work of the Housekeeping staff on a given shift. Responds to and manages calls for service from hospital departments.
Requirements:
+ High school graduate or equivalent
+ 3-5 years experience
+ Driver license – valid
Major Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates the shift work of the team assigning staff as appropriate. Schedules staff for on call weekends; fills in if needed.
2. Carries beeper and IP phone taking calls/requests and reassigns as required by situation logging all calls.
3. Coordinates and performs floor care techniques; vacuuming; dry and damp mopping and buffing.
4. Operates floor care equipment; performs PM's on equipment and trains staff on the use of equipment.
5. Uses cleaning chemicals and understands the appropriate use of each type of chemical.
6. Completes rounds during shift documenting needs for cleaning/floor care/project work and/or reassigning work based on findings.
7. Performs cleaning of all areas as required. Handles general removal of infectious materials and sharps removal; confidential waste; using the appropriate protocol.
8. Replenishes supplies/inventories and maintains clean orderly equipment room.
9. Provides on the job training for new employees.
10. Reports all aesthetic issues to manager and report of damaged/broken equipment using LOTO as required.
