Special Education Teacher – $50/hr – Tempe, AZ – Full-Time

Position Overview:

Amergis is hiring a passionate Special Education Teacher to join a middle school resource setting in Tempe, AZ. In this role, you’ll collaborate with the Special Education Program Administrator and general education staff to deliver individualized instruction, support student success, and create an inclusive learning environment.

Assignment Details:

+ Location: Tempe, AZ

+ Start Date: January 19, 2026

+ End Date: End of 2025–2026 school year

+ Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday)

+ Modality: In-person

+ Pay Rate: $50/hr

+ Contract Length: 16 weeks

+ Caseload: Middle School Resource SPED

+ Interview: In-person strongly preferred

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university

+ Valid Arizona teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement

+ Minimum of one year teaching experience

+ Current CPR certification

+ Proficient with Arizona I.E.P. software

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ No para support in the classroom

+ No severe behaviors; students may be disruptive or disobedient

+ Ideal candidate is positive, hands-on, and able to connect with students
