Summary You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst of NAVAL SUPPLY SYSTEMS COMMAND. Responsibilities You will perform and/or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations; implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. You will perform research, analysis, and interpretation of how new and revised financial policies impact an organization. You will have strong oral and written communication skills and must have experience leading a workforce. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized accounting experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service applying principles, concepts, and practices to perform assignments concerning financial management and accounting. Specific work experience must demonstrate the following duties: 1) Review accounting and financial reports to identify and correct discrepancies: 2) Utilizing automated financial systems to extract, interpret, and analyze financial reports and statistical data; 3) Evaluating and identifying accounting system deficiencies, policy issues, and audit requirements to take or recommend corrective action; and 4) Advising and assisting management on accounting and financial matters.
