Summary

As a **Security Police Officer** at Chenega, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of **NASA** 's facilities in **Greenbelt, MD** . You will be responsible for enforcing security protocols, responding to emergencies, and providing a visible and professional security presence. Your duties will include:

Responsibilities

+ **Patrol and Surveillance:** Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter and detect suspicious activities. Monitor surveillance systems and report any security breaches.

+ **Access Control:** Manage access to the facility by verifying identification and ensuring only authorized personnel enter. Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor badges.

+ **Emergency Response:** Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies. Coordinate with emergency services as needed.

+ **Incident Reporting:** Document and report all security incidents, accidents, and violations. Prepare detailed and accurate reports for review by management.

+ **Customer Service:** Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clients. Address inquiries and assist with directions and information.

+ **Other Duties:** Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ **Age:** Must be at least 21 years old.

+ **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of military, security, or law enforcement experience preferred.

+ **Skills:** Strong observational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

+ **Certifications:** Must have a valid driver's license.

+ **Clearance:** Must be eligible for a DoD clearance, though the clearance is not required to start.

+ **Physical Requirements:** Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
