Summary
The Security Guard Supervisor is the contractor's on-site representative, responsible for receiving and executing orders from management and handling emergencies affecting Technical Center operations. During the day, they also serve as backup to the Contract Program Manager when needed, with their contact information provided to COR/ACOR.
They oversee guard staff, ensure correct uniforms and professionalism, and confirm understanding of duties. Responsibilities include conducting informal guardmounts for inspections, announcements, and shift hand-offs, supplementing standard posting procedures.

Responsibilities
+ Oversee the daily performance of the Contract Guard Services Contract in support of the Department of Transportation.
+ and monitor day-to-day activities of Contract Guards to ensure proper performance and post coverage.
+ Provide to the CO/COR a current list of available guards upon request. This list will consist of individuals who meet all guard requirements of this contract. The Contractor will be responsible for maintaining this list with current information and will supply the CO/COR with a new list whenever changes occur;
+ Exercise supervisory responsibilities over the operation of the guard force to ensure that the required services are provided on a consistent and continuous basis
+ Serve as the contact point between the Contractor and the COR/ACOR. The Contract Guard Supervisor must receive and handle all instructions from the COR/ACOR and ensure they are properly implemented by the guard force
+ Receive complaints, violations of guard instructions and initiate corrective action
+ Conduct an approved security orientation by the most expeditious means available and provide a written follow-up report of the incident within 24-hours.
+ Enforce adherence to all contract terms, post orders, and operational procedures.
+ Conduct regular inspections of security personnel and posts to verify compliance.
+ Maintain open communication with the Contract Program Manager regarding personnel performance, post issues, or operational concerns.
+ Ensure supervisors do not provide relief or act in a dual capacity as Contract Guards while performing supervisory duties.
+ Support corrective action plans, employee evaluations, and training initiatives.
+ Respond to incidents and provide on-site leadership during critical situations.
+ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
+ A minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last ten (10) years as a law enforcement officer with at least one (1) of those years as a supervisor of at least five (5) officers, or equivalent leadership experience within a local/state/federal/military law enforcement unit.
+ Must possess an Associate Degree or higher in a related field from an accredited college or university.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and meet all government suitability standards.
+ Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
+ Must be able to effectively train, evaluate, and guide CSOs in accordance with contract standards.
+ Must maintain all certifications and credentials required by contract, local, and state regulations.
+ At least 21 years of age at the time of employment.
+ Possess a valid New Jersey permit to carry a handgun, or meet the exemption as qualified retired law enforcement officer under Federal Public Law 108-277, section 3, entitled Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004.
+ Be able to read and understand the English language to effectively carry out applied printed rules, detailed orders,instructions, and training materials.
+ Must be able to pass Medical and Physical Screening.
+ Must be able to pass Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) (Behavioral Analysis).
+ Must be a US Citizen
_Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_
+ Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
+ Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook
+ Must write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar; vary writing style to meet needs; present numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information
+ Be able to compose in the English language precise short paragraphs, written reports, and other reports as necessary.
