Transdev in Nashua, New Hampshire is hiring a Transit Clerk. The Transit Clerk performs customer service, passenger ticket sales, reservations, and data entry of information to maintaindatabasethroughthecompany’ssoftware. Weareseekingcustomerservice-orientedprofessionalswhoare dedicated to safety.

Startingpay$21.22withprogressionto$21.85over2years.

KeyResponsibilities:

+ Make paratransit reservations and enters information into database

+ Sells passenger tickets individually and in bulk.

+ Operates the Information Center at the Transit Center.

+ Other administrativedutiesasrequired.

Qualifications:

+ Highschooldiploma,GED,orequivalent

+ Minimumofone-yearrelatedworkexperience.

+ Mustbeabletoworkshiftsorflexibleworkschedulesasneeded.

+ Theemployeeisgenerallysubjectedtolongperiodsspentsitting,typing,orlookingatacomputerscreen.

+ Workenvironmentwillbeacombinationofbothindoorsandoutdoors.

PhysicalRequirements:

Theessentialfunctionsofthispositionrequiretheabilityto:

+ Workoutsideinvaryingtemperature,weather,andhumidityconditions-100%ofthejobisperformed outside, work alone and in remote locations.

+ Sitforextendedperiods(upto6–8hoursperday);frequentlywalkforlongdistancesandonpossible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces

+ Pushandpullobjectsupto50pounds,occasionallythroughouttheworkday;liftmaterialweighingupto 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level

+ Withstandheavytrafficareaswhileperformingthedutiesofthejob;tolerateexposuretoconsiderable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
