Job Summary

This position will report to the Sr. Director of Meditech Systems. This position be responsible for leading the Clinical Nursing Application Analysts who support HCA’s MEDITECH Magic and Expanse nursing documentation and all nursing workflows, including General Nursing, Respiratory, Therapies, Rehab, Labor and Delivery and Behavioral Health. This Manager will work with business partners and stakeholders to support and enhance existing system nursing functionality, as well as review and implement new nursing related documentation and workflow. This Manager will lead 7-14 clinical tech analysts in meeting project deliverables and ensuring the nursing application areas are operationally supported. Building strong relationships with staff, peers, leadership, business partners, stakeholders and vendors is a key component for success in this position.

Major Responsibilities

30% Resource Management:

+ Performs personnel actions including hiring, assignment, reviews, recruitment, and termination.

+ Collaborates with others in the recruitment and interview process, ensuring high quality candidates are selected for open positions.

+ Directs daily staff and task activities to meet work objectives; establishes clear directions; distributes the workload appropriately.

+ Ensures appropriate allocation of resources to meet work objectives and manages resource utilization.

+ Working with Meditech and PatientKeeper leadership, establishes clear objectives for staff and sets stretch objectives.

+ Collaborates with employees to define individual career development plans and encourages employee to track progress against development plan.

+ Coach and guide, ensuring assignments provide growth opportunities for employees.

+ Conduct performance evaluations, providing positive feedback and identification of any improvement areas.

+ Ensures regular communication occurs with employee, maintaining two-way dialogue on work and results; is a clear communicator.

+ Cultivates a positive and motivating environment that brings out the best in people and improves performance of others.

35% Delivery Management:

+ Drive clinical nursing related projects representing ITG as the Product Owner.

+ Develop strong stakeholder partnerships to build trust and drive consensus among parties.

+ Collaborate across departments to meet project milestones, allocating and adjusting resources as necessary.

+ Work with Director in communicating with Leadership, utilizing both verbal and written communication.

+ Participate in resolving conflicts involving staff, vendors, stakeholders and business partners.

+ Work with team to define and implement solutions, using proven methodology adhering to architecture and security standards, focusing on patient safety, physician and clinician satisfaction, and nursing workflow.

+ Work with Director and PM to understand project budgets, review resource cost and expenses for project Monthly Operating Reviews.

35% Operational Management:

+ Recommend and lead charge for various departmental process improvements.

+ Ensure proper processes to deliver technical solutions for nursing application are followed.

+ Work with Meditech Sr. Director, Meditech-PK AVP, and team to review and refine strategy.

+ Build solid relationships with leadership, business partners, staff, and vendors.

+ Assess situations, formalize options and provide recommendations.

Education & Experience:

+ Bachelor's degree Required

+ 7+ years of experience in related role. Required

+ 3+ years of experience in management experience. Required

+ Working knowledge and experience with MEDITECH nursing applications encouraged but not required.

+ Experience working in the Healthcare Industry preferred.

+ Technically savvy to learn quickly and earn the confidence and support of their teams.

+ Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

+ Proven Problem Resolution Skills including identification, tracking, escalation and resolution.

+ Experience with process definition and documentation Preferred

+ PatientKeeper Knowledge Preferred
