About the role
As a CBRE Events Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a large team assigned to meetings, events & conference services.
This job is part of the Workplace Experience function. They are responsible for providing world-class customer service to the clients and visitors of a designated building.
What you’ll do
+ Provide formal supervision to employees. Supervise the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
+ Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
+ Serve as primary contact with high-profile clients for meeting & events forecasts and strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve complex client inquiries and raised complaints.
+ Create a department budget. Approve purchase orders for event supplies as requested by the team.
+ Implement enhancements for event success. This includes making improvements to processes, procedures, and systems. Review reports to measure productivity and present findings to senior-level management.
+ Confirm operations and vendors are aligned with location requirements.
+ Create and supervise department SLAs, KPIs, and benchmarks. Supervise related performance data, identify solutions for gaps, and implement efficiencies.
+ Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own subject area, and how own field integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
+ Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
+ Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
+ Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job subject area
What you’ll need
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
+ Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
+ Leadership skills to empower the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job field, multiple job fields, and department.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive approach.
+ Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Meeting and Events Sr Manager position is $130,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Meeting and Events Sr Manager position is 160,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
