The Learning and Development Generalist contributes to the mission of Spurwink by ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of training documentation. This position is responsible for maintaining Spurwink's learning management system, including creating and managing users, filing certificates and tracking training attendance, and responding to questions from stakeholders regarding training assignments. You will report to the Director of Training, and will communicate with internal and external partners to maintain training documentation and management processes.
DUTIES:
+ Performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document learning and development programs. Updates databases to track progress of participants and program scheduling.
+ Work within the agency's Learning Management System to enter training attendance data and file certifications.
+ Prepares staff training transcripts as required by licensing or staff requests.
+ Prepares rosters for upcoming trainings, and shares them with staff and program leaders.
+ Prepares monthly orientation schedules.
+ Investigates and corrects errors within staff training assignments and records.
+ Participates as an integral and cooperative team member in achieving learning and development goals for the agency. This includes clear and timely ongoing communication regarding the status of training with all members of the department.
+ Participates in trainings needs analysis to support development of instructional design.
+ Prepares course materials and training rooms for live orientation or agency-wide trainings such as CPR, TCI, UKERU, or MANDT trainings.
+ Runs and distributes reports out of Relias and other systems to ensure that employees are in compliance with the training needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma/GED is required, and an associate's degree in education, HR, business, or equivalent education/experience is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience preferred. Must possess strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database skills. Must have experience or be familiar with Learning Management Systems. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; have excellent communications and organizational skills. Must be familiar with Spurwink's hiring and onboarding practices and those of various programs.
