Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician III plays a vital role in enhancing manufacturing capabilities and supporting the production of company products. This position focuses on improving fabrication processes, assisting with the launch of new products, and maintaining complex production tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Apply technical expertise to develop and implement engineering solutions that improve the manufacturing of both new and existing products.
+ Contribute to process improvements and equipment upgrades that support operational growth and sustainability.
+ Participate in the introduction of new products into the manufacturing and supply chain environment.
+ Create, update, monitor, and maintain a variety of production tools, equipment, and infrastructure.
+ Use established procedures to address routine problems, analyze information, and make informed decisions.
+ Communicate technical information clearly, ask relevant questions, and ensure mutual understanding within the team.
+ Collaborate with team members on manufacturing and development projects for new and existing products.
+ Work within standardized processes, requirements, and safety guidelines to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
+ Support facility and equipment maintenance as needed.
+ Exercise independent judgment and discretion on significant matters.
+ Maintain regular and punctual attendance; may be required to work nights, weekends, or variable schedules as needed.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues with manufacturing machinery and tools, essential for minimizing downtime.
+ Understanding and applying continuous improvement methods to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
+ Skill in operating, maintaining, and calibrating manufacturing equipment for quality output.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
+ Vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a related field.
+ Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience.
+ Strong analytical and systematic problem-solving skills.
+ Advanced knowledge of industrial systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and high-pressure gas systems.
+ Skilled in fabrication and assembly, such as MIG/TIG welding, sheet metal work, pneumatic systems, and test equipment.
+ Ability to read, follow, and create technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
+ Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
+ Highly motivated, able to manage project timelines, priorities, and goals, and keep organized records.
+ Demonstrated ability to work well in teams, foster collaboration, and promote positive relationships.
Work Environment
The work environment involves operating and maintaining various manufacturing equipment and tools. The role may require working nights, weekends, or variable schedules. Employees are expected to adhere to safety guidelines and standardized processes while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simi Valley, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.
