    Description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible for preparing students for successful outcomes including full-time employment, higher education, or advanced training . Oversees and manages the Work-Based Learning (WBL) Program, ensuring students actively participate in on- and off-Center, hands-on training experiences designed to strengthen employability skills . Provides transportation services as needed and actively participates in the Career Transition Readiness/Grad-90 Program .

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures, ensuring accurate reporting and no manipulation of student data. Obtains off-Center WBL opportunities and direct placement positions for students while building strong employer partnerships . Develops and maintains strong employer networks across industries. Identifies employers, trade associations, and labor organizations to serve on the Center Industry Council (CIC) . Provides ongoing feedback—in person and through the students’ ePCDP—to the Career Transition Specialist regarding student strengths and areas for improvement identified during WBL experiences . Ensures the Center meets or exceeds DOL and Company performance goals . Establishes supportive mentoring relationships with students throughout enrollment, offering career counseling and employability guidance . Routinely evaluates student performance, updates ePCDPs, and identifies and resolves barriers to student success . Provides transportation and support services to meet student WBL requirements . Validates student WBL attendance and reviews WBL site supervisor evaluations . Produces high-quality work and assignments that are thorough, timely, and accurate while maintaining strong attendance, accountability, and productivity . Plans, prioritizes, and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines . Demonstrates strong job knowledge and applies it effectively to all responsibilities . Proactively maintains and strengthens skills required for successful job performance . Mentors, monitors, and models Career Success Standards in alignment with PRH requirements . Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population, taking swift and appropriate action to positively influence student behavior . Treats students with respect and professionalism, while holding them accountable for their actions and conduct . Ensures delivery of quality programs and services, continuously pursuing improvement and enhancement . Communicates clearly and effectively—both verbally and in writing—and contributes meaningfully to team efforts . Provides timely and accurate information to DOL and Company representatives when requested . Identifies challenges, analyzes root causes, evaluates solutions, and follows up to ensure issues are fully resolved . Works collaboratively with all departments to ensure effective supervision and student services . Accepts direction from the Center Director, Center Duty Officer, or Shift Manager, including temporary assignments to support other departments as needed . Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    Associate’s Degree required Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience Previous Job Corps or related program experience preferred Computer literacy required, including proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing applications Must possess a valid in-state Driver’s License Must meet all Company insurability requirements
