The Investment Analyst, Energy Storage (Consultant) will support our client's growing Energy Storage & Infrastructure Development business by providing analytical, financial, and strategic support for early- and mid-stage battery energy storage (BESS) projects. This role combines financial modeling, investment analysis, and development support to help advance a multi-gigawatt portfolio of energy storage assets from origination through monetization. The analyst will work closely with the Development, Investment, Finance, and FP&A teams to evaluate project economics, perform sensitivity analyses, and track portfolio performance. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to one of the largest and most innovative corporate energy programs globally.
Responsibilities
+ Build and maintain detailed financial models for standalone and co-located BESS projects, incorporating capex, opex, interconnection, and offtake assumptions.
+ Support investment committee materials, including preparation of presentations, memos, and scenario analyses.
+ Partner with the Development team to assess project economics at key milestones to guide decision-making and prioritization.
+ Analyze market data, incentive programs, utility tariffs, and policy changes affecting project value and risk.
+ Support diligence efforts for acquisitions, joint development agreements, and site-level transactions.
+ Maintain and update portfolio dashboards for active projects, tracking metrics such as MWs secured, interconnection status, expected margins, and projected monetization value.
+ Collaborate with Real Estate, Legal, and Origination to align commercial structures and deal terms with financial objectives.
+ Provide regular reporting to leadership, summarizing project-level economics, risk drivers, and performance trends.
+ Participate in ad hoc analysis and improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting, budget accuracy, and capital coordination.
Essential Skills
+ 2–4 years of professional experience in project finance, corporate development, investment analysis, or asset management, ideally within renewable energy or real estate.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
+ Strong proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
+ Familiarity with renewable energy project structures (PPAs, JDAs, lease/option agreements) preferred.
+ Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear insights.
+ Self-starter with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
+ Passion for clean energy, infrastructure investment, and data-driven decision-making.

This position offers a hybrid work environment, requiring attendance in the office two days per week. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $48.00/hr.
