Description

We are looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Hampton, Virginia. This role requires expertise in medical billing, coding, and claims processing to ensure accurate and timely management of healthcare financial transactions. Responsibilities:

• Process and submit medical claims accurately and efficiently to ensure timely reimbursements.

• Review and verify patient account information for accuracy and completeness.

• Handle medical collections, including resolving discrepancies and communicating with insurance companies.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to address billing inquiries and resolve issues.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and compliance standards.

• Generate reports related to billing activities and provide insights for process improvements.

• Identify and correct billing errors to minimize delays and denials.

• Ensure confidentiality and security of patient financial information at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience or eagerness to learn medical billing, coding, and claims processing.

• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems.

• Ability to analyze and resolve billing discrepancies effectively.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong communication skills.
