Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator with over two years of experience operating a 5,000 lb forklift in an outdoor yard environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. This role requires the ability to perform routine inspections, fueling, and preventive maintenance duties such as lubrication, cleaning, and battery changes. Proficiency in reading and writing in English, along with math, communication, and comprehension skills to interact with transportation, dispatch, and manage trailer hitch operations, is essential. Candidates must successfully pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate adherence to safety procedures. The role involves working in potentially dusty, hot, or cold conditions.

Responsibilities

+ Operate stretch wrap machines, film roll up-enders, and extended boom arm forklift equipment.

+ Organize product on the yard according to inventory procedures.

+ Safely load and unload products from flatbeds and box trailers.

+ Validate packing slips, ship tickets, and other delivery documentation by auditing, recording, and interpreting shipping documentation, weights and measures, labels, and production schedules.

+ Perform additional duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with forklift operation, particularly in a 5,000 lb capacity outdoor yard environment.

+ Ability to perform routine inspections, fueling, and preventive maintenance.

+ Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

+ Mathematical and comprehension skills for interfacing with transportation and dispatch operations.

+ Ability to pass internal Forklift Certification Training.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with sit-down forklifts.

+ Skills in loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
